Orlando City Soccer Club President Phil Rawlins spoke to the commission and the audience, which included many Lions fans who came in support of the team. Rawlins announced that the attendance for the championship match was 20,889 -- a record for any minor league sport in the United States.
While the vote marks a huge victory for the Orlando City Soccer Club in their journey to become the next expansion team in the MLS, it's certainly not over. The measure will be taken up for vote in two weeks by the Orange County Commission.
