Indie 103.1 is dead, at least in its terrestrial radio incarnation. This was one of the last truly great alternative stations in the country. They played a ton of new music and really broadcast original content, essentially everything K-Rock once was. The fact that they couldn't make it happen in a city like LA pretty much means the format is dead. Hello internet.

Every year music heads and hangers own descend on Austin for the South By Southwest Music Festival. It's amazing, frustrating and exhausting. New Fountains of Wayne?

Fountains Of Wayne have revealed a few details about their new album.
Bassist Adam Schlesinger recently told billboard that the band hoped to release the new album sometime in 2009.
We still have a ways to go, but we have eight songs that are
relatively close to complete now. We're looking to regroup after the
New Year and do the second batch
I think were trying some different things on this record, but
were still the same band, to me. Its kind of too early to say what
direction its going to as a whole.
