The trial for Hector Rodriguez in the Cady Way Trail murders is well underway. Last year, Winter Park High School students Nicholas Presha and Jeremy Stewart were shot and then burned; police found the remains at the bank of a canal on the Cady Way Trail.
Two suspects were arrested, Jesse Davis and Hector Rodriguez. Davis was deemed unfit to stand trial and is now in prison serving a life sentence. Rodriguez's trial began this week.
Prosecutors told the jury this morning that Rodriguez and Davis murdered the Winter Park teens "execution style" and burned the remains. The two teens were believed to have gone to Davis' house to sell the two suspects guns, but were instead robbed of them and later killed.
