Study Finds Packed Lunches Often Not Healthy


According to a new study conducted by the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, packed lunches students bring from home do not contain nearly enough nutrition required by school guidelines.  

Jeanne Goldberg, the senior author of the study, stated:

“When deciding what to pack, parents are juggling time, cost, convenience, and what is acceptable to their children. Unfortunately, these factors are not always in harmony with good nutrition.”
