(Arlington, VA)  --  The Defense Department is proceeding with plans to start moving women into combat roles.  That includes opportunities in the elite Navy SEALS and Army Rangers programs.  In today's Pentagon briefing, Army Major General Bennett Sacolick said the "days of Rambo are over."  Army Lieutenant General Howard Bromberg said military officials are taking a deliberate, scientific and responsible approach to the transition.  Air Force Brigadier General Gina Grosso described the transition as part of an ongoing effort to make the U.S. military gender-neutral.  Marine Colonel Jon Aytes said everything is being done to ensure that the transition is accomplished in the right way.
